About

Stewart Associates have been providing high quality architectural services since 1990.

First and foremost, we enjoy being architects and work tirelessly to ensure that all our clients experience both good design and an exemplary professional service. We work with a diverse group of public, private and commercial clients, many of whom have returned to us with repeat commissions.

Our architects and staff have a wide range of interests and are encouraged to actively collaborate on each project. The result is a series of original contextual design solutions which we hope exceed our many client’s expectations.

We are fortunate to work on projects throughout Scotland and occasionally further afield. To maintain quality and to facilitate the design and management process, all projects are managed by experienced qualified architects.

Our Practice utilises both 2-D and 3-D software for design and visualisation and operate an “in-house” QA system for project management and environmental control. All workstations are networked through our remote server allowing  access from office, home and sites.

We operate as a Chartered Practice under the RIAS accredited scheme and are members of the following organisations:

  • Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA)
  • Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS)
  • The Architectural Heritage Society of Scotland (AHSS)

Our Practice arranges regular  “in-house”  CPD seminars from trade and industry providers.  Individual staff members participate in external CPD events and disseminate information at staff meetings.

Specialisms are encouraged with Andy Kitson qualified as an RIAS conservation architect and Nicola Samuel as a certified energy assessor ( OCDEA ).

Project experience is extensive including:

  • Hotels – new and conversion of existing.
